Job Description

Senior Category Manager, Supply Chain

As a global category manager, you will bring a strategic, company-wide sourcing perspective to the management of a complex, global supply chain and the associated supplier relationships. Within the Logistics Management team , your sourcing leadership and subject matter experience will help us shape and optimiz e our global supply chain operations by strategically managing all aspects of our relationships with logistics and transportation providers .

The key objectives are to (1) develop clear and effective category plans for all spend areas within the global supply chain organization, (2) demonstrate leadership in supplier relationship management to ensure business and strategic objectives are met and (3) continue to evolve the sourcing role from commercial expert to valued business partner for the supply chain organization.

As an experienced leader, you will work closely together with different stakeholders within the global supply chain organization focusing on freight, warehousing and our reverse logistics value chain. As part of this global team, you will share the goal of a best-in-class network of innovative partners which drives value and maximizes their service levels.

Strategic Sourcing Responsibilities:

Assess and translate stakeholder needs and objectives into sourcing category plans. Comfortable operating at the strategic level, identifying opportunities to demonstrate and deliver value. In this role one of your primary partners will be the head of supply chain S trategy, A nalytics, and L ogistics M anagement . Together you will develop, execute and manage highly effective, collaborative sourcing strategies to accelerate impactful business partnerships. Access, analyze and present relevant market intelligence to inform supply chain strategy, complement category plans and frame sourcing project opportunities per channel, category, country, region, carrier / 3PL. Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, working closely with strategic suppliers to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies Define an ongoing multi -year roadmap based on the defined opportunities together with the global head of transportation and the other members from the supply chain team. Develop and execute robust sourcing and negotiation strategies to optimize the total value delivered. Evolve the source to pay processes and approach based on category specific business or internal stakeholder requirements within Ariba and operationally Champion sustainability initiatives within the L ogistics and T ransportation categories, promoting environmentally responsible practices and driving initiatives to reduce carbon footprint across the supply chain .

Spend management and Supplier relationship management

Strategically manage supplier relationships together with the business teams and the global head of transportation to optimize financial and operational performance. Identify and qualify potential new partners to ensure best-in-class cost, service delivery, operational excellence and service levels. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to assess supplier performance, rive accountability, and identify areas for improvement Define opportunities to reduce spend while improving service delivery. Co-conduct carrier engagements such as negotiations and periodic business reviews (QBR) with our strategic partners. Manage bid proposals (RFI/RFP), requirements documentation (SOW), service level agreements (SLA), purchase/service agreements and other related documents.

Negotiate pricing, terms and commercial conditions of contracts and manage through the contract lifecycle. Consolidate all operational aspects to p rovide report outs to the leadership team on strategy, savings and other KPIs.

Requirements and Skills

A leader and self-starter with demonstrated ability to achieve results Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in fast paced environment Greater than 10 years of relevant and progressive procurement and category management experience within supply chain Deep understanding of logistics and transportation industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements Strong negotiation skills Fluent in relevant contract terms and current supply and market dynamics Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluent in English Bachelor's degree in supply chain management , Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred SAP and/or Ariba knowledge is a plus Willingness to travel (10 to 20%, international) Ability to effectively work in an embedded or remote environment. Experience working in consumer electronics or technology industries a plus Multilingual proficiency a plus
