Nambe Pueblo Development Corporation (NPDC) is seeking an Executive Director to lead its business development efforts in Cuyamungue, New Mexico. NPDC is a federally chartered corporation, wholly owned by the Nambe Pueblo Tribe, and serves as the sole economic development corporation for the Tribe. NPDC is governed by a Board of Directors (BOD) appointed by Tribal Council.The Executive Director reports to the Board and leads NPDCs business development efforts including strategic and business planning development and execution, staff management and leadership, and financial and operational management and reporting.The Executive Director holds full responsibility and is the primary point of contact for the operations of NPDCs corporate office and enterprises in support of the Corporations vision, strategic plan, operating and business plans, and annual budget as approved by the BOD and Tribal Council. Midpoint pay for the position is $126,000. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Implement the vision and mission.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategy including environmental awareness.
  • Establish and implement all policies adopted by NPDCs BOD.
  • Oversee and direct the business operations of NPDC and its subsidiaries.
  • Identify, research, and present business opportunities to the NPDC BOD and Tribal Council.
  • Cultivate long range goals, formulate annual objectives, and direct the operational planning process.
  • Create and implement financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting, and the annual audit.
  • Select, administer, and manage all economic development projects.
  • Direct the work of the organization and its investments.
  • Prepare grant and funding applications for implementation of economic development projects.
  • Coordinate with NPDCs Board, accounting staff, and other key staff to identify sources for funding new business opportunities including state and federal programs.
  • Advise and participate in regular financial and operational meetings such as Board meetings, Tribal Council meetings, and community meetings.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with corporate policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations, and Tribal, State, and Federal requirements.
  • Visit business facilities and departments regularly to evaluate business operations to ensure regulatory compliance and maximum performance and efficiency.
