Job Summary:

This position is for an Entry Level Project Engineering professional contributor on a project or work team. Participates in the preparation of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship. Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets and prepare and present status and technical content to IPT Level.

  • Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.

  • Gathers data to monitor project progress in terms of cost, schedule, and technical specification to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.

  • Supports Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change execution and participate in the risks assessments and develop mitigation plan as needed.

  • Maintains plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met. 

  • Responsible for project assignments with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.    

  • Limited Support military budget EVMS activities and s upport project management activities.

  • Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required.

  • Participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE Operating System tools and support AS9100 efforts.

  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Industrial Engineering.

  • 3.0 GPA requirement or 2 years of engineering experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Ability to work onsite full time in a classified environment is required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • 1 year of experience with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software

  • Active Security Clearance
